Little drawings that have turned into costumes.

When inspired I draw little pictures of the thing I would like to try and make.
I have used most of the ideas in these drawings and in the end the result is something similar.
I can usually draw the costume exactly how I'd like it to turn out.
It's not so easy when sewing to get the costume just how I want, mostly I use a sewing pattern that comes closest to what I want to make. I adjust the pattern (sometimes drastically) until it looks like my own costume.
I collect pictures too. I borrow books from the library, usually biographies, histories, books on costume and theater, books that show different cultures and any book with pictures of peoples past and foreign.
